New Shirts!!

I got the kids some new shirts at Walmart last night. Elle's has Walle and Morgan's has Eva. Miles just got a generic shirt. But I thought they all looked so cute this morning that I wanted to post some pictures!!

First Day of School

Morgan had her first day of preschool yesterday. It was an open house, so Matt got to go with her. She was so excited to have Daddy with her at school. She looked so grown up, my heart ached a little. Elle cried so hard when Morgan left...she wants so bad to go to school too!! Matt said Morgan was pretty shy for the first 45 minutes, but once she warmed up, she was talking to the other kids and playing. She even brought home an art project!!

Hairstyles & Magazines

I have been looking at blogs about different hairstyles for little girls and decided to try one the other day. It wasn't the best job I have ever seen, but it was a start! Morgan was pretty sure she had a princess hairstyle that day!

Later that day, Morgan came running downstairs and told me ,"Mommy! You have to come see this!" She grabbed my hand and ran me upstairs to her room. She had taken every toy out of her toy box and closet and displayed them around the room. They were lined up on toy boxes and shelves and beds. I asked what it was, and she told me she had made magazines! I don't think she really knows what a magazine is, but it was really cute!

Disaster Girl Strikes Again

So Elle's villainous evil streak continues. This time she has incorporated an evil intern sidekick. Her latest evil plot is to sneak Miles into the bathroom while no one is looking. Then they take turns tearing off toilet paper and dipping it into the toilet water. The strips are then laid on top of Miles head. By the time my superhero senses come into play and I realize something is amiss, Miles is usually soaked from the waste up with toilet water (clean, mind you, but still disgusting!) is dripping all over his face.
Will Disaster Girl ever be stopped? Is there any force on this Earth that can stand up to such an evil mastermind? Only time will tell.

What is with this boy??

Yet again, Miles has fallen asleep. This time, he did so in mid play. He was running races with the girls in the living room. They like to start at the bottom of the stairs and run full speed across the room, where the dive into and crash on the couch. I was doing dishes when I noticed it was just the tiniest bit too quiet. I looked up and found Miles had dashed across the room and crashed on the couch...and fell asleep! What am I going to do with him?!

Tuckered out

Any of you who have seen how upset Miles can get if you don't give him food the very second he sees it, or have seen how his tummy has been known to pop the button on his shorts knows how obvious it is that we never feed this poor little guy. So yesterday I decided to give him a granola bar and he was so excited to finally have some food that he tuckered himself right out. He didn't even have the energy to take the granola bar out of his mouth first!

An Attempted Park Run

The kids were bugging me all morning to go play outside. I was trying really hard to get the house clean because I have a babysitter coming tomorrow. After a while, I decided it might not be so bad to attempt to run to the park for a little bit. So right after lunch we got our shoes on and walked over to the park. The girls ran a little ahead of me, and Miles kicked and screamed the whole way there. He really wanted to run with the girls, but he refuses to hold my hand and insists on running into the street at every opportunity. So we finally get there, and the family playing there has their two pit bulls tied up at the bottom of the stairs on the playground. Was I going to let my kids run around by two unknown dogs? Absolutely not. I said quite loudly that they could not play on the playground while two dogs we didn't know were tied up there, and I know the family heard me, but they made no movement at all to take the dogs away. So I made the kids settle for running in the field. They were not extremely happy with me, but they know enough to take what they can get. So the girls raced each other back and forth across the field, and Miles spent the whole time trying to run away from me! The good news is they were all asleep within 5 minutes of getting home, which makes it worth all the trouble in the world to me!!
