Lemonade Stand

So, I really thought we took more pictures of this, but apparently we didn't. Matt did get a good video, though. The kids had a great time and they made $15. They have decided to save their hard earned money to put toward a new swing set. I have a feeling we may need to do a lot more lemonade stands...:)

Hmm...

The kids were drawing with sidewalk chalk on the driveway today while I changed the light bulbs in our outside lights. When we came in, I helped Elle wash her hands and then told her to go dry them off while I helped Miles. She walked right past the towel and into her room to dry her hands on the sheets of her bed.

A Good Day

My step-dad, Randy, has surgery on Tuesday. On Friday I couldn't stop thinking about it. So, finally, I called Matt, Dustin and Lisa. We all agreed to fast this Sunday for him. Dustin went to church with us and was such an amazing help with the kids (they call him Uncle Awesome and Uncle Rockstar). When we got home we were all dying of hunger and thirst, so I got started on dinner right away. I think we ate dinner at about 3pm. I'm sure I will be hungry again before bed. We all broke fast together and ate parmesan chicken, funeral potatoes, and Jan rolls. Delicious. Then we listened to the kids all play together downstairs while we played a game of Phase 10. Matt won. I know, you are surprised. It was the nicest Sunday I have had in a while. Thank you, Dustin, for sharing it with us.

Bounce House, Part 2

I was doing my third load of laundry for the day when I noticed the kids were quiet. I ran from my room down the stairs only to discover this:

And, yes, after the kids went down for a nap I may have bounced along the pillows once or twice.

Super Hero

I was teaching singing time in primary on Sunday and we were doing the song "I Belong to the Church..." There is one line that sings "I believe in our Savior..." Miles was singing this song in the bathtub Saturday night and when he got to that line, he sang "I believe I can save her..."

Ever the super hero.
