Morgan's Party

On Saturday we had Morgan's birthday party. Three out of five friends invited showed up, not too bad. We played Pass the Present to start with so all the little girls got to open something. I think it was a hit. Then each girl got to make and decorate their own magic wand, followed by cake and ice cream. Now I must say that the picture of this cake does it no justice. In real life, this was by far the cutest cake I have ever seen. I am very proud of it. So I think everyone had tons of fun. Thank you to everyone who could come and I will try to get Morgan to hurry with the thank you cards. She has been playing with toys non-stop and making jewelry right and left. Tons of fun!

Happy Birthday Morgan! The cake is beautiful! You did an awesome job. It looks like she had a great time. Morgan's bare legs are making me freeze :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MORGAN!!

That cake is truly a work of art, you SHOULD be so proud! So what is 'pass the present?' It sounds really fun.

Pass the present is so simple. I bought a handful of presents from the dollar store and the party store. All were under $1 and I got enough for each kid to have one. Then I wrapped them all. The kids sit in a circle and pass one present around, sort of like "hot potatoe." When the music stops, whoever is holding the present gets to open it! Then they scoot out of the circle and the rest of the kids get a turn. It is a big hit.

The wands turned out super cute as well as the cake. You should start making a portfolio of all your cakes in case you ever decide to start your own little side business!
