Getting Crafty

I am always so jealous of the endless crafts I see on other blogs. Every woman other than myself seems to be able to balance raising kids and cleaning house, and still find time to be crafty. I decided that I needed a project to do to take my mind off certain things...like my downstairs toilet overflowing and flooding a large portion of carpet.

So I was at Pier 1 the other day and saw this thick felt butterflies with jewels in the middle. I thought they would make darling clips for my girls' hair. So I then went to Michael's and picked up a canister full of a variety of flowers, some solid colors, some polka dot, and all different sizes. Then I stopped by Target and picked up different clips. I got out my glue gun and some ribbon I had from forever ago and other small embellishments. Then I got to work. I fussed and glued for about half an hour and was the most relaxed and least stressed I have been in a while. It was awesome. Plus, I think they turned out pretty cute. What do you think, are they ok??

Gorgeous!! You are so good at making the same things you see for zillions elsewhere. Great job!! Can't wait to see pics of the girls wearing them.

AAH! Those are darling! While I'm sitting here typing this Madison is begging me to put flowers in her hair. Did those butterflies also come in the tub with the flowers? How many different barrettes did you go with?

GOOD JOB, MAMA!!
