A Good Day
My step-dad, Randy, has surgery on Tuesday. On Friday I couldn't stop thinking about it. So, finally, I called Matt, Dustin and Lisa. We all agreed to fast this Sunday for him. Dustin went to church with us and was such an amazing help with the kids (they call him Uncle Awesome and Uncle Rockstar). When we got home we were all dying of hunger and thirst, so I got started on dinner right away. I think we ate dinner at about 3pm. I'm sure I will be hungry again before bed. We all broke fast together and ate parmesan chicken, funeral potatoes, and Jan rolls. Delicious. Then we listened to the kids all play together downstairs while we played a game of Phase 10. Matt won. I know, you are surprised. It was the nicest Sunday I have had in a while. Thank you, Dustin, for sharing it with us.

Dustin said he had such a wonderful time with you guys...wish I could have been there with you! Thanks for initiating the fast for Randy - that was a great idea : ) See you guys in a few weeks!
