Monkeying Around
Tuesday was such nice weather, the kids and I decided we needed out of the house. So we packed our hats and sunscreen and snacks and water into a backpack. Then we loaded our ginormous 3 seat stroller into the back of the car. We were off to the zoo. We got there 10 minutes after it opened and there were only 3 other families there. We got to take our time at each animal and not worry about being in someone's way or other kids being in our way. We parked our stroller in front of the giraffes and ate some chocolate chip cookies while we watched the giraffes munch on some tasty looking plants. Then it was off to the penguins to see if they are indeed as sneaky as Madagascar leads us to believe. Next we devoured granola bars while being mesmerized by the many monochromatic stripes of the zebras. Then bear purse insisted we go see his mommy and daddy. Miles had brought his Buzz Lightyear laser blaster gun and hunted every animal in the zoo. Never mind the caged in animals made for easy targets. Last we played on the playground until we couldn't play anymore. I had three wild kids to myself, so forgive the lack of pictures. I chose chasing down kids and stopping them from throwing things into the cages over snapping some photos. Anyway, it was great fun and we can't wait to go back...with more adult help this time.

Zoos are just the neatest thing for kids! I especially like Miles playing target practice!
