A poem by Morgan

Am I up in the sky?
I am not.
Are you?
You are not.
What did I just say?
Did I just say underwear?

When it rains it pours...

So, what's been going on with us lately? Well, we got our fence posts up and the day before the fence is to be finished, Ivory tells us we have the wrong property lines and have to redo the entire fence. Our construction foreman, during our final walk-through, showed us exactly where the property lines are, the sprinklers and landscaping were even done to these lines. He now claims he never told us anything of the sort, so we will have to fork over a nice chunk of change to fix the fence.
The weather is finally getting nice, up to the upper 80's. So of course, our air conditioner isn't working properly. It freezes up if it has to cool the house below 80. I have had someone out here 4 times to look at it. In fact, the service manager was here for almost 4 hours today trying to fix it. We thought he had finally done it, only to find our inside unit encased in ice before going to bed tonight.
The tile in the girls' tub is cracked along and entire corner of the wall, Miles' bedroom door won't shut properly, and everything I submit to warranty they tell me they will fix it at my year end paint touch-up and I end up having to fight tooth and nail over it.
I am tempted to say there is too much going wrong right now, but I have decided that I would rather have it that way. This way, after everything is taken care of, there is nothing else to go wrong and I can have a nice long peaceful time where nothing goes wrong. =)

On the plus side, Morgan wears these oversized plastic yellow glasses all day long...except when I have the camera...just walking around like she has always worn them and nothing is out of the usual, and it makes my heart happy every time I see her.

Babyrayz

I was looking at my blog the other day, and realized that I never put in a link to my mom's blog. I remember doing it at one point, but I must not have saved it or something. Anyway, it is there now. It is called Babyrayz. I have had so many people tell me how jealous they are that my mom is so crafty, and by all means, they should be. My mom can do anything. She always makes the cutest stuff for me and my kids on holidays, and the homemade stuff is always what I treasure the most. If you have not seen what she makes, you must check it out. On her blog you are able to purchase a lot of the things she makes for babies. These are great for baby gifts, but better for your own kids! My personal favorite is the puzzle ball. They are so soft and squishy, and best of all, machine washable! What more could you ask for? Anyway, check it out and please let me know what you think!

Pip pip, Cheerio!

The girlies and I met Grandma this afternoon for a tea party at Gardner Village. When we arrived, the girls were shown where the dress-ups were and they each picked their own dress, hat, and accessories. Then they brought up 2 large teapots for Grandma and I, and 2 little teapots filled with pink hot chocolate for the girls. Elle could not get enough of it. She went through the entirety of 2 teapots, and she slurps. Then they brought out a 3 tiered tray. On the top were scones with cream and jelly; the middle had a variety of sandwiches, including cucumber...yum!; the bottom had various desserts and fruit. Everything was delicious. Morgan had at least one bite of every single food. We all had so much fun. I am glad I got to get out and have some big girl-bonding time with Morgan and Elle.

Happy and Sad

Every so often your child says something that touches your heart and brings a smile to your face. You take a step back and tell yourself, "My child is a little bit more grown up today." It makes you happy, and at the same time, slightly sad. Today is one of those days.

My arm...

Ok, so this post is purely to satiate the commenters of the previous post...and to update those of you who already knew what what going on.
On Monday afternoon I had a small outpatient procedure to remove a lump from my left breast. Yes, everything is fine. The results came back from pathology and it was benign. The only problem is that it was on the very outer edge close to my armpit, so every time I move my left arm too much it pulls on my stitches. Today I decided that it had been long enough that I could finally wear a bra again. Big mistake. Half way through the day I was hurting so much that I changed shirts so I wouldn't have to wear a bra. When I looked in the mirror, I found the whole left half of my breast is now an ugly bruise. Not like anyone is going to see it, but still, it's ugly. So now I hurt all over again. I am still icing it and taking ibuprofen. I see my doctor on Tuesday for a follow-up. So there you go; that's what happened to my arm.

Easter Sneak Peek

Just a sneak peak until I'm able to move my arm enough to type out a real post.
